"The world was my oyster until I used the wrong fork"

Children's Etiquette

Picture the day when your child is grown. You have done everything you could to give him or her the advantages they need in life. They have spent four long years working hard and their degree is finally in hand. They have selected the companies they are interested in and have been granted an interview. Their competition has done the same.

Now the questions start. Your child asks ...What do I say? Do I offer to shake hands? What if they take me to lunch? Which fork do I use? How do I convince them that I am the best candidate for the job?

"It's never too late to be what you might have been."

George Eliot

Competition is fierce for the top jobs. Only those candidates who truly stand above the crowd will obtain these positions.

What are the qualities that make one candidate stand out from the rest? The ability to speak well and with ease. The ability to enter a room with confidence and poise. To represent the company in public with impeccable social skills at the table, at social functions and in the boardroom.

The importance of good manners, confidence and high self-esteem cannot be stressed strongly enough. Research indicates that learning proper etiquette early gives one a higher level of confidence and builds greater self-worth. At Galaxy, we would like to help you offer this critical advantage to your children. We know that for great social skills to truly be a natural part of a person they must be continuously reinforced. For that reason Galaxy Corporation offers continuous education for children ages 4-18. During this time we cover all aspects of etiquette, bullying, financial responsibility, personal appearance, ballroom dancing, character, respect for self & others, dining skills… in fact, everything necessary to ensure your children learn to "Be Their Best."

During the 1 ½ hour sessions children will enjoy learning social skills through discussions, games, songs, role-playing and arts & crafts. Ballroom dancing and the social skills associated with formal occasions are covered to give an added level of confidence to children preparing to "tackle the world."

Each week parents receive an email letting them know what was covered during the lesson and giving tips for reinforcing the lessons at home.

Our younger children enjoy puppets "Galaxy Gail" and "Galaxy Gus". These two visitors from space teach etiquette skills, such as saying please and thank you, making introductions and having good table manners. Our interactive, 9-session programs include progress reports to take home to parents, coloring books, training placemats and Certificates of Completion.

At the end of each term a formal tea is held for the younger children and a formal dinner dance is held for the older students. Parents and other interested parties are invited to attend these events and celebrate with our students.

Do you want your children to have that extra advantage? Then start them early in a Galaxy Etiquette & Cotillion program designed for his or her age level.
